Socialist League

   Created in 1884 and an offshoot of the Social Democratic Federation, the Socialist League included in its ranks Eleanor Marx, Edward Aveling, William Morris and Belfort Bax, and promoted Marxist ideas until taken over by anarchists in the 1890s.
